Panola Opens Five-Game Road Stint with Tough Loss at McLennan

The Panola Fillies began their five-game road stretch on December 6th with a challenging matchup against the McLennan Highlassies, ultimately falling short after a slow start put them in an early hole.

McLennan struck quickly, capitalizing on Panola’s cold opening to jump out to a 7–1 lead—an advantage the Highlassies maintained and steadily built on throughout the night. Despite flashes of energy, the Fillies struggled to find offensive rhythm in the first half, allowing McLennan to control the tempo and momentum.

Panola showed resilience after the break, putting together an impressive surge late in the third quarter to cut the deficit to single digits. The run energized the bench and shifted the pace, but McLennan answered each push and prevented the Fillies from getting any closer down the stretch.

The Fillies will look to bounce back and close out their 2025 calendar year on a high note as they travel to LSU Eunice on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
