After 10 games the Panola Ponies men's basketball team sits at a conference record of 6-4 (10-8 overall) and currently tied for the 3rd seed for the conference tournament. Only two games back of first, the Ponies still have a shot at the regular season Region XIV title, but have an uphill battle and will need some help to accomplish that feat. 

The Ponies are fresh off a home game against Tyler JC where they were victorious 79-61 behind Tait Spencer's 20 points, and Benicio Leon's 14 points and 19 rebounds. The team has an important string of Region XIV games coming up starting with Wednesday, January 28th's road matchup against Angelina. Panola won the first matchup earlier this season against the Roadrunners in a defensive battle 55-42. The Ponies will continue on with a home game against Blinn on the 31st, and a road matchup vs Bossier Parrish on February 4th.
