Panola College Rodeo Team Wins the Sam Houston State University Rodeo
The Panola College Rodeo Team finished up the Fall semester College Rodeo Southern Region Circuit this past weekend at the Sam Houston State University Rodeo in Huntsville.  The Women's Team won the Championship followed by McNeese State in 2nd place and Sam Houston State University in 3rd place.  The Men's Team finished with the Reserve Championship just behind McNeese State University.
 
Meadow Raymond, a sophomore from Oak Grove, LA won the short go in the Goat Tying with the fastest time of the rodeo and ended up second overall to lead the Panola team.  Teammates Micah Wallace, a freshman from Lipan,TX finished 3rd in the barrels to add to the women's team points and Sadie Grace Lovell, freshman from Kaufman, TX, added points for the team with a 5 th place in the goat tying.
 
The men's team was led by sophomore bareback rider, Hayden James, from Emmett, Idaho,  as he finished 2nd, followed by teammates Kelton Maxfield, from Meridan, Idaho, and Trent Tuten, from Okeechobee, FL, finishing 6th and 7th respectfully in the bareback.  Healer Tyce Scarber of Tenaha, TX finished 2nd in the team roping and Mac Street, from Jasper, TX finished 3rd in the tiedown calf roping to help the Panola Men's Team to a Reserve Championship.
